Oh, hello there. Sorry I have been MIA lately. Fall is always SO SO busy. I don’t get it though. I am not in school. I do not have children in school. But somehow, back to school season is inevitably uber-busy. I guess between raking leaves, apple orchard trips, watching football, and family visits, there has been little time left for making dinner, let alone blogging about it. I can’t complain, life has been good. Fun, delicious, and busy.
Oh, that and I have been O-B-S-E-S-S-E-D with Orange is the New Black. Thank goodness I finished season 2 and my real life can now resume. I have been staying up until the wee hours to watch it. So addictive, so intriguing, so good.
Plus, with the onset of fall, the birthday season begins in my family. Although my birthday and my husband’s birthdays are in the summer, we have three sisters’ birthdays, one nephew’s birthday, one dad’s birthday, one baby’s birthday…oh, and then Christmas quickly follows. It s a gift and celebration bonanza. That means tons of food and BAKING! My FAVORITE culinary adventure! They say there are two camps: those who love to bake and those who love to cook. I squarely lie in the first one-I am a lover of baking and eating all things baked.
To apologize for my lack of blogging, I come to you with a simple baking recipe requiring very few ingredients. In fact, you probably have most of the ingredients in your pantry, except maybe for non-expired yeast. This recipe pays homage to my sister’s seventh grade soft pretzel-baking obsession (thank you HomeEc class).
